This publication presents the main results of this operation, the objective of which is to quantify the handicapped population, to measure the intensity of the handicaps and their causes and effects, and to find out the need profiles and structure of the population suffering from these handicaps. Handicaps are the consequence that an illness or anomaly in the functioning of an organ produces in a person's abilities and autonomy. First, the results of the socio-demographic characteristics of handicapped people is presented, along with a description of their situation of dependency, their economic activity and the aid and health and social services received. Secondly, a description of the handicaps, along with the degree of severity and the deficiencies they cause is provided.
