Methodological note

Social inclusion income includes guaranteed income for citizens and active inclusion income.

Guaranteed income for citizens: this is a social benefit which guarantees the minimum requirements for a dignified life to people and family units in a situation of poverty, in order to promote their autonomy and active participation in society. It is a social benefit of an economic nature and is received on a regular basis.

Active inclusion income: this is a benefit which is granted to unemployed people over 45 years of age who are not entitled to receive unemployment benefits or obtain other income for an amount higher than 75% of the minimum inter-professional salary. It is also granted to victims of gender and domestic violence, returned emigrants over 45 years of age and unemployed people with a disability equal to or greater than 33%.
