By country of habitual residence, France stood out with a total expenditure of 124 milion and United States with a total expenditure of 116 milion of euros. The average daily expenditure person was 146 euros, a figure that represented an increase of 3.9%. The main statistical items correspond to expenditure on the international transport (not included in the tour package) with 24.7% and expenditure on activities (24.6%).
In 2016 as a whole, the total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose principal destination was Catalonia increased by 3.7% and the average daily expenditure person increased by 12.8% with respect to 2015, according to provisional data.
