Exports rose by 0.6% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in December 2016. By economic destination, capital goods increased by 17.7%; while registered decreases: intermediate goods and consumer goods (0.9% and 0.7% respectively). On the other hand, imports increased by 2.4% year-over-year and also there were increases for all types of goods especially capital goods (9.0%).
In 2016, exports increased by 2.0%, according to provisional data from the Customs and Special Taxes Department of the State Tax Administration Agency. By economic destination, were increases in all types of goods, highlighting the capital goods with an increase of 24.7%. As for imports, these increased by 2.0% and there were increases in consumer goods and capital goods (8.0% and 4.9%, respectively); while intermediate goods decreased by 1.6%.
The main goal of these statistics is to present the trade flows of exports and imports of goods between Catalonia and abroad a monthly basis.
