By country of habitual residence, United States stood out with a total expenditure of 120 milion and France with a total expenditure of 92 milion of euros. The average daily expenditure person was 152 euros, a figure that represented an increase of 4.6%. The main statistical items correspond to expenditure on the international transport not included in the tour package (239 million euro) and expenditure on activities (211 million euro).
In 2017 as a whole, the total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose principal destination was Catalonia increased by 9.6% and the average daily expenditure person increased by 3.8% with respect to 2016, according to provisional data.

The data reference period is considered the month in which the trip ends, regardless of its length.
