Idescat publishes its 2017 Report, with detailed information on its activity throughout the year.
2017 was the first year of the new Statistical Plan for Catalonia 2017–2020 and this has allowed to direct Idescat’s activity according to the priorities determined by the Plan. The presence and use of the information coming from various sources has increased to the extent that the available resources have made possible.
The collaboration between institutions is highlighted, as it has enabled the quality of information on the living conditions of the population to be improved. We also want to mention the improved aid to researchers who want to use statistical information for the study and improvement of public policies.
The 2017 Report, still pending final approval from the Governing Board of Idescat, is divided into eleven chapters: Institutional Activity; Statistical Planning; Statistics on Population and Territory; Statistics on the Economy and Society; Statistics on Business and Labour; Statistical Standardization Activities; Statistical Dissemination Services; Promoting statistics; Research and Development; Technical Services, and Resources and Organisation.
