The number of trips to Catalonia by residents of the rest of Spain showed a 15.0% year-over-year decrease in the fourth quarter of 2018, which meant a total of 827.6 trips, 3.059,2 thousend overnight stays, an average stay of 3.7 nights and an expenditure of 300 million euros.

The expenditure on trip to Catalonia of residents in the rest of Spain in the fourth quarter of 2018 was 362 euros per person, a figure that represents a decrease of 4.5% above the fourth quarter of 2017, equivalent to a daily expenditure of 98 euros with an increase of 6,8%.

The number of a day trips to Catalonia of residents in the rest of Spain totalled 220.7 thausend in the fourth quarter of 2018, with an increase of 11.3% in comparison to the same quarter of the previous year.

In 2018, the number of trips to Catalonia by residents in the rest of Spain decreased a 6.2%, the total amount of expenditure in trips of residents in the rest of Spain in Catalonia fell a 6,0%, while the average daily expenditure per person increased a 2.1%.
