Idescat publishes the Nomenclature of territorial units for statistics (NUTS), standardised in Catalan, corresponding to Regulation (EU) No. 2066/2016 of the European Commission of 21 November 2016, amending the Annexes to Regulation (EU) No. 1059/2003 of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe, which establishes a nomenclature of territorial statistical units (DOUE L322 of 29 November 2016).read

The Government has approved the Annual Programme for Statistical Action (PAAE) for the year 2017. The aim of the programme is to establish and provide a standardised description of the 311 statistical actions of interest to the Government that must be conducted next year. This is the first program that deploys the Statistical Plan for Catalonia 2017-2020, approved by Law 5/2016, of 23 December.read
The eighth edition has been announced of the Nursery Competition for Surveys and Experiments, aimed at pupils in secondary, pre-university and vocational education. The competition is organised by the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Universitat de Barcelona and the Faculty of Science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and which is supported by Idescat.read
