Employed population 2000-2009. CNO-2011

The Active population survey (EPA) collects quarterly information on the type of occupation of the employed population and the unemployed population that has worked before. These variables are codified according to the corresponding official statistical classifications for each period. In 2010, the occupation variables used for the EPA started using codes adapted to the new National classification of occupations 2011 (CNO-2011).

The estimates for the employed population in accordance with the CNO-2011 for the 2000–2009 period were calculated on the basis of a double codification system between the CCO-94 and the CNO-2011. The coefficients for this system were calculated thanks to the double classification of the types of occupation of the employed population made for the EPA during the four quarters of 2010.

The results being presented here correspond to the quarterly series for the employed populations for the 2000–2009 period for large employment groups.

It should be considered that these results are an aid for interpreting the magnitudes of the EPA by occupation of the employed population and that the official results for this survey are those codified for each period in accordance with the Classification of occupations as applicable at that time, i.e. the CCO-94 for the 1994–2010 period and the CNO-2010 from 2011. For the year 2010, the results are offered in both classifications.
