The ratio of the number of deaths of children under one year of age during the year to the number of live births in that year. The value is expressed per 1 000 live births.
Live births: Births of children that showed any sign of life. It is the number of births excluding stillbirths (total births include live births and stillbirths).
The data for Catalonia have been calculated using population estimates and figures on Natural population movement. As of 2012 onwards, these statistics include births by mothers resident in Catalonia and deaths of people resident in Catalonia which take place in other autonomous communities.
