The number of trips to Catalonia by residents of the rest of Spain increased 1.5% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2019, which meant a total of 1,302.5 trips, 5,547.5 thousend overnight stays, an average stay of 4.3 nights and an expenditure of 466 million euros. Note that in 2019 Easter was celebrated in April, while in 2018 it took place between March and April.

The expenditure on trip to Catalonia of residents in the rest of Spain in the second quarter of 2019 was 358 euros per person, a figure that represents a decrease of 6.5% above the second quarter of 2018, equivalent to a daily expenditure of 84 euros with an fall of 7.6%.

The number of a day trips to Catalonia of residents in the rest of Spain totalled 161.0 thousend in the second quarter of 2019, with an decrease of 24.4% in comparison to the same quarter of the previous year.
