Statistics and Accounts of the Tourism Companies. 2022

The turnover of tourism companies in Catalonia was 41,185 million euros in 2022, a figure that represents a 52.1% increase in comparison to the year before. The number of companies stood at 126,476 (3,1% more than in 2021), and the sector employed 436,887 people, meaning an increase of 6,5%.

By activity, Transport of tourism generated a turnover, in millions of euros, of 6,704 (16.3% of the total), and Accommodation and food service activities of 16,577 (40.2%), while that of Other tourism services was 17,904 million euros (43.5% of the total).
