Methodological note

Information about dwellings under construction is obtained from site management certificates submitted by professional associations of building surveyors to the Ministry of Public Works. These statistics thus do not reflect the number of dwellings being built in a particular month but rather the number of new dwellings it is planned to build or refurbish.

Information about completed housing is taken from end of construction certificates.

The four previous years are reviewed every year, according to the annual series published by the Ministry of Public Works. Therefore, the data from the past five years is provisional.
