Industrial Price Index. 04/2023

The industrial products price index (which does not include energy) increased by 2.6% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in April 2023.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) decreased by 1.2% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, prices of consumer goods increased by 8.7% and those of capital goods by 3.0%, while energy prices decreased by 14.6% and those of intermediate goods by 3.8%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (14.0%) and in manufacture of beverages (13.7%). By contrast, prices decreased in metallurgy and manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (−14.1%).
