Retail Trade Index. 04/2023

The General Retail Trade Index (ICD) without service stations, at current prices, increased by 11.5% year-over-year in Catalonia in April 2023. By product type, food increased by 12.5% and the rest of products by 10.6%. Within the latter type, personal equipment increased by 17.7% compared with the same month in the previous year, household equipment increased by 9.9% and the other goods by 7.0%. During the same period, the General Retail Trade Index with service stations, at current prices, increased by 9.4% compared to one year ago.

At constant prices (i.e. eliminating the effect of prices) the retail trade index without service stations increased by 7.1% year-over-year.
