Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 04/2023

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose principal destination was Catalonia stood at 1,623 million euro in April 2023, compared to 1,147 million in April 2022. This figure represents a year-over-year increase of 41.6%.

By country of habitual residence, United States and France stood out with a total expenditure of 249 and 243 million euros, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 213 euros, a figure that represented an increase of 9.7%.++ The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on international transport not included in the tour package, with an amount of 455 million euros, and expenditure on activities with an amount of 340 million euros.
