Business Climate Survey. Q2/2023

The business situation of companies in Catalonia in the second quarter of 2023 registered a balance of 11.2 points. The percentage of managers of business establishments with a favourable opinion of their business situation in the second quarter was 24.7%, while 13.5% had an unfavourable opinion. The remaining 61.8% considered that their business situation had remained stable.

By sector of activity, all sectors showed positive balances. The accommodation and food service activities sector, other service and construction businesses performed particularly well, with balances of 26.3, 12.6 and 10.8 points, respectively.

Moreover, expectations regarding the business situation for the third quarter of 2023 registered a balance of 7.8 points. A total of 22.5% of managers believe that their business situation will be favourable, while 14.7% believe that it will be unfavourable. The remaining 62.8% believe that it will remain stable.
