Change of assignment of the municipality of Sant Feliu Sasserra

On 11 May 2023, the Official Journal of the Government of Catalonia (DOGC) published Law 7/2023, of 10 May , on the creation of El Lluçanès county, according to which the municipality of Sant Feliu Sasserra, although It is part of the said county, it could be segregated and return to El Bages county. This has been made effective in accordance with Resolution PRE/2630/2023, of July 17 2023, which publicises the agreement of the Sant Feliu Sasserra City Council regarding the change of assignment of the El Lluçanès county to that of El Bages, published in DOGC 8962, of 20 July 2023.

Idescat, as the competent statistical body in this area, includes this change in the official Catalan geo-nomenclature, in the Territorial and entity codes database, in the sections referring to municipalities and counties, dated 20 July 2023 since it is the date of publication in the DOGC of the Resolution with which the agreement of the change of county of the Municipal Plenary is publicised.

From now on, the changes will affect future publications of official statistical results by the Statistical System of Catalonia, always considering the reference date.
