Industrial Price Index. 06/2023

The industrial products price index (which does not include energy) increased by 0.1% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in June 2023.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) decreased by 4.8% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, prices of consumer goods increased by 7.6% and those of capital goods by 2.5%, while energy prices decreased by 21.6% and those of intermediate goods by 8.1%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in manufacture of beverages (14.2%), in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (11.4%) and in wood and cork industry except furniture; articles straw and plaiting materials (9.9%). By contrast, prices decreased in metallurgy and manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (−19.6%) and in chemical industries (−14.3%).
