Exports increased by a year-over-year 11.9% and imports decreased by 1.0% in Catalonia in June 2023.

By economic destination, exports of all goods increased: those of consumer goods by 28.1%, those of capital goods by 3.1% and those of intermediate goods by 3.6%. By geographical areas, the increases in sales to Central and South America (100.9%) stood out.

On the other hand, by economic destination, imports of intermediate goods decreased by 8.3%; however, those of consumer goods (13.5%) and capital goods (13.7%) increased. By geographical areas, the decreases in purchases from Central and South America (−15.0%) and other countries of Europe (−14.6%) stood out; on the other hand, the increase in purchases from European Union (3.4%) stood out.
