Tourism of Residents in Catalonia. Q2/2023

The number of trips made by Catalans decreased 7.5% year–over–year in the second quarter 2023. People residing in Catalonia made 7.8 million trips, involving 27,0 million overnight stays, an average stay of 3.5 nights, and an expenditure of 2,386 million euros.

The expenditure of Catalans on trips in the second quarter came to 305 euros per person, which represents an increase of 14.3% in comparison with the second quarter of 2022, and an expenditure of 88 euros per day, with represents an increase of 2.0%.

The number of day trips made by people residing in Catalonia stood at 10.4 million in the second quarter of 2023, 6.5% more than in the same quarter of the previous year.
