Retail Trade Index. 10/2023

The General Retail Trade Index (ICD) without service stations, at current prices, increased by 8.1% year-over-year in Catalonia in October 2023. By product type, food increased by 8.7% and the rest of products by 7.5%. Within the latter type, personal equipment increased by 14.3% compared with the same month in the previous year, household equipment by 1.5% and the other goods by 6.9%. During the same period, the General Retail Trade Index with service stations, at current prices, increased by 6.9% compared to one year ago.

At constant prices (i.e. eliminating the effect of prices) the retail trade index without service stations increased by 5.3% year-over-year.
