Government approves the Annual Programme for Statistical Action 2024

The Government has approved the Annual Statistical Action Programme 2024 (PAAE 2024), which includes all the statistical actions of interest to the Government of Catalonia that are to be conducted over the course of this year within the framework of the Statistical Plan for Catalonia 2017-2020, currently extended. The number of actions programmed is 300.

New this year are the annual population and housing censuses for 2022 and 2023, the Tourism Sustainability Indicators, the Catalan classification of economic activities 2025 and the Household Projections 2021-2046, among others.

During 2024, among other statistical actions, the feasibility study for a new edition of the Domestic Production Satellite Account will be conducted. In terms of statistical results, the dissemination of the fifth edition of the Survey on Language Uses of the Population 2023, and the Territorial Survey on ICT Equipment and Use in Households 2023 should be highlighted. The dissemination of the results of the Catalan Health Survey 2023, which for the first time includes people institutionalised in homes for the elderly and, finally, the Survey on Living Conditions, is also planned.

On the other hand, the validation and exploitation of the fieldwork of the Survey on Intermediate Consumption will be carried out, within the Input-Output Framework for Catalonia 2021, the fieldwork of a new edition of the Survey on Quality and Working Conditions 2024, as well as the continuity of the fieldwork of the Survey on the Use of Time 2023-2024. Fieldwork will also be conducted for the Modules on Current Business Issues (as every year); for the Survey on Daily Mobility in L'Alt Pirineu i Aran, and for the Survey on Working Day Mobility.

The results of the indicators on the circular economy, the blue economy, the sustainable development goals, the Gender Equality Index and the Small Area Socioeconomic Index will also be published.

Once published in the Official Journal of the Government of Catalonia, the Annual Statistical Action Programme will be available for consultation in the section of the Statistical Plan for Catalonia on the Idescat website.
