Tourism of Residents in Catalonia. Q3/2023

The number of trips made by Catalans increased 2.9% year–over–year in the third quarter 2023. People residing in Catalonia made 10.2 million trips, involving 65.0 million overnight stays, an average stay of 6.4 nights, and an expenditure of 4,310 million euros.

The expenditure of Catalans on trips in the third quarter came to 423 euros per person, which represents an increase of 4.2% in comparison with the third quarter of 2022, and an expenditure of 66 euros per day, with represents an increase of 3.6%.

The number of day trips made by people residing in Catalonia stood at 11.8 million in the third quarter of 2023, 11.9% more than in the same quarter of the previous year.
