Industrial Price Index. 11/2023

The industrial products price index (which does not include energy) decreased by 0.6% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in November 2023.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) dropped by 4.9% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy prices decreased by 19.8% and those of intermediate goods by 8.0%, while prices of consumer goods increased by 5.3% and those of capital goods by 2.5%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in metallurgy and manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (−15.8%) and in chemical industries (−10.3%). By contrast, prices increased in manufacture of beverages (13.0%) and in industry wood and cork, except furniture, articles straw and plaiting materials (5.9%).
