Statistics on Foreign Tourism. 11/2023

The number of foreign tourists who arrived in Catalonia stood at 1.1 million in November 2023, compared to 957.1 thousand in November 2022, a figure that represents a year-over-year increase of 19.7%. By country of habitual residence, the countries from which the majority of tourists came were France, the United States and Italy, with 199.2, 105.4 and 101.2 thousand tourists, respectively.

By reason for travelling, leisure trips, trips for other reasons (health, studies, family...) and business trips had a tourist influx of 907.1, 135.3 and 103.2 thousand tourists, respectively.

As for the principal type of accommodation, hotels and similar had an influx of 689.2 thousand tourists, and homes of relatives or friends accommodated 213.6 thousand tourists.
