Industrial Production Index. 11/2023

The Industrial Production Index adjusted by working days increased by 2.6% in Catalonia in November 2023. By large industrial sectors, energy increased by 14.4% and capital goods by 7.3%; while consumer goods remained stable (0.0% year-over-year variation) and intermediate goods decreased by 1.1%.

In the same period, the Industrial Products Index (which does not include energy and is not adjusted by working days) increased by 1.5% compared to the same month of the previous year and the Industrial Production Index (which includes energy) increased by 2.6%. By large industrial sectors, energy (14.5%) and capital goods (7.4%) increased; consumer goods remained stable (0.0% year-over-year variation) and intermediate goods decreased (−1.0%).

Finally, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases were registered in manufacture of transport material (13.5%) and manufacture of machinery and mechanical equipment (10.4%); on the other hand, textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries (−10.8%) and manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (−10,0%) decreased.
