Exports decreased by a year-over-year 2.2% and imports increased by 3.5% in Catalonia in November 2023.

By economic destination, exports of all goods decreased: consumer goods by 1.3%, capital goods by 4.0% and intermediate goods by 2.8%. By geographical areas, the increases in sales in the European Union (0.5%), in North America (3.5%) and Central and South America (16.7%) stood out; on the other hand, the decreases in sales to other countries and territories in Europe (−13.0%) and to the rest of the world (−11.8%) are also to be noted.

On the other hand, by economic destination, imports of all goods decreased: consumer goods by 2.3%, capital goods by 10.2% and intermediate goods by 3.2%. By geographical areas, there was a decrease in purchases from European Union (−2.9%), in North America (−9.6%), and in Central and South America (−44.3%); on the other hand, purchases in other countries of Europe (3.8%) and in the rest of the world (0.4%) increased.
