Industry Turnover Index. 01/2024

The Industry Turnover Index (IVNI) for industrial products, excluding energy (base 2021=100), registered a year-over-year increase of 1.0% in Catalonia in January 2024. By large industrial sectors, consumer goods increased by 5.4% and capital goods increased by 4.6%; on the other hand, intermediate goods decreased by 4.4%. In this period, the general IVNI index increased by 0.6% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia.

By publishing the data for January 2024 on base year 2021, Idescat is complying with European Commission Implementing Regulation 2020/1197 on short-term business statistics, which establishes a change of basis in 2021. The linked sets of the indexes in base year 2021 have been published as of January 2010.
