Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 02/2024

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 1,105 million euros in February 2024, which represents an increase of 17.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, France, the United States and Italy stood out with a total expenditure of 135, 83 and 72 million euros, a figure that represented an increase of 21.2%, −13.0% and of 67.3%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 198 euros, which represented a year-over-year increase of 0.6%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on international transport that is not included in the tourist package, with an amount of 352 million euros, and expenditure on activities, with an amount of 227 million euros.
