Indicators of Hotel Sector Profitability. 04/2024

The average daily rate (ADR) in hotel establishments increased by a year-over-year 10.3% in Catalonia in April 2024 and stood at 133.53 euros. As far as tourism brands, Barcelona, Paisatges Barcelona and Val d'Aran showed the highest values (188.49 euros, 92.40 euros and 85.54 euros, respectively). Barcelona and Paisatges Barcelona show positive rates of variation of 10.0% and 10.5%, respectively, while Val d'Aran has a negative rate of 14.5%.

On the other hand, the revenue per available room (RevPar) increased by 10.1% compared to the same month of the previous year and stood at 90.37 euros, according to the Hotel Occupancy Survey.

The Easter effect must be considered, given that this year it was celebrated in March and in 2023 it was celebrated in April. It is convenient to analyse the two months as a whole.
