Statistics on non-contributory pensions. 2022

A total of 61,910 non-contributory Social Security pensions were paid in Catalonia in December 2022, an increase of 2.7% with respect to the previous year. Of these pensions, 25,549 were for disability and 36,361 for retirement.

By sex, 60.1% of pensions were for women and the remaining 39.9% were for men. This proportion was more pronounced in the case of retirement pensions, 68.2% of which were for women.

The average amount received was 411 euros, 3.0% higher than in the previous December. By sex, the average pension received by men (420 euros) is higher than that for women (405 euros).
