Consumer Price Index. 07/2023

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.3% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in July 2023. The groups with the highest inflation were Food and non-alcoholic beverages (10.1%), Leisure and culture (8.2%), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (8.1%) and Hotels, cafés and restaurants (5.7%). The only groups with a negative variation rate were Housing (−13.2%) and Transport (−4.8%).

In this period, the core inflation (general index without unprocessed food and energy products) is 6.2% in Catalonia.
