Statistics on Rural Tourism Accommodation Activity. Q3/2023

The number of overnight stays in rural tourism establishments in Catalonia increased by a year-over-year 3.4% in the third quarter of 2023, according to provisional data from the Rural Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Survey.

By country of origin, the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists fell by 1.6% (Catalan tourism decreased by 3.2% and that proceeding from the rest of Spain increased by 13.2%) and foreign tourism increased by 15.8%.

On the other hand, the number of travellers registered in rural tourism establishments grew by a year-over-year 4.0%.
