Statistics on Audiovisuals. 2021

The turnover of companies in the audiovisual sector in Catalonia in 2021 was 1,288 million euros. The number of companies stood at 2,242 and the sector employed 9,986 people. As for the advertising sector in Catalonia, the turnover was 4,139 million euros and it employed 26,549 people.

In the reference year 2021, several methodological improvements are applied to the Structural Business Statistics, which means that the results for this year are not strictly comparable with those of previous years. The most outstanding changes that affect the Statistics on Audiovisuals are the specification of the institutional sectors covered by the Statistics and an improvement in the estimation of the number of companies.
