Indicators of Service Sector Activity. Indexes of Production and Turnover. Q4/2023

The Production Index in the Service Sector (IPROSS) (base 2015=100) increased by 2.4% on year-over-year data in Catalonia in the fourth quarter of 2023. Furthermore, the Turnover Index (IASSVN) also showed an increase of 1.9% compared to a year ago, since the other services (this is to say, non-commercial ones) grew by 6.2%, although trade decreased by 0.7%. Within the other services, the most significant increases were in professional, scientific and technical activities (14.8%) and in accommodation and food service activities (8.7%).
