New statistical data viewer in Idescat

Idescat has added a new statistical data viewer to its website, so that users can customize tables and downloaded files. The number of downloading formats has also been expanded to better adapt to the requirements of different users.

At the same time this new viewer is being developed, statistics are being standardised to provide them with new metadata so that they can be more easily used, both with the new viewer and by downloading open data.

The new viewer is currently only active for the standardised statistics, of which there are 15. They are listed below and also available in the open data section of the website. Idescat is working to update its data infrastructure in order to offer information through a variety of solutions for all types of users, which means that the rest of the statistics will be gradually added to this list.

The datasets of these statistics are also accessible through an application programming interface (API). The API Tables (which is part of Idescat’s catalogue of APIs catalogue of APIs) provides methods for third-party programs to glean information from these statistics and integrate it into other services.
