Marc and Martina were again the most common names amongst newborns in 2015.

The name Marc was followed, in descending order of frequency, by Àlex/Álex, Martí, Hugo and Biel. As for Martina, the next most frequent names were Júlia/Julia, Laia, Lucía and Emma.

As far as the territorial areas are concerned, Marc was also the child's name put in all geographical areas except Ponent (where was Martí) and L'Alt Pirineu i Aran (where was Jan). For girls, Martina stood in first place in the Metropolitan and El Camp de Tarragona areas, while Júlia/Julia was the most common in the Girona Counties, Les Terres de l'Ebre, Ponent and Central Counties areas; finally, Maria María was the most frequent in El Penedès.
