The number of trips to Catalonia by residents of the rest of Spain showed a 15.5% year-over-year increase in the second quarter of 2017, which meant a total of 1,407,500 trips , 6,023,400 overnight stays, an average stay of 4.3 nights and an expenditure of 517 million euros.

The expenditure on trip to Catalonia of residents in the rest of Spain in the second quarter of 2017 was 367 euros per person, a figure that represents an increase of 5.8% above the second quarter of 2016, equivalent to a daily expenditure of 86 euros.

The number of a day trips to Catalonia of residents in the rest of Spain totalled in the vicinity of 252,200 in the second quarter of 2017, 36.7% greater than the same quarter of the previous year.
