Catalan exports of industrial products have increased in all technological levels during the third quarter of 2017 with regard to the same period of the previous year, led by the medium-low content level..
Exports of high technological content reached a value of 1,651.8 million euros in the third quarter of 2017, representing a year-over-year increase of 3.3%, whilst the sales of high-medium level industrial products (7,595.6 million euros) rose by 3.7% on the year-over-year. Exports of medium-low level products, valued at 2,511.8 million euros, were the ones which had increased most with respect to the same quarter of the year before (27.8%). Finally, the value of products of low technological content totalled 4,379.2 million euros, which represents a year-over-year increase of 3.5%.
On the other hand, the third quarter of 2017 saw overseas purchases of industrial products rise in all technological content levels. The import of high technological content rose by 3.5% on the year-over-year, high-medium level products by 5.3%, medium-low level by 6.2% and low-level by 5.2%.
