Large Store Sales Index. 08/2023

The Large Store Sales Index (IVGS) of Catalonia at current prices increased by 3.3% in August 2023 compared to the same month of 2022. By product group, food sales increased by 6.8%, while sales of other products decreased by 0.4%.

At constant prices (i.e., eliminating the effect of prices) the index registered a year-over-year variation of 2.8%. By product group, in this case sales of food products dropped by 2.3%, while sales of other products rose by 8.9%.
