Conversely, La Terra Alta (−0.2%) and El Pallars Jussà (−0.2%) are the counties that have lost population, in addition to La Segarra (−5.3%) and Osona (−2.1%) affected by the territorial changes.

Among municipalities with 10,000 inhabitants and over, the main increases in relative terms were recorded in Mont-roig del Camp (3.7%), Calafell (3.6%) and Cunit (3.3%) and the main decreases in Martorell (−0.6%) and in L'Escala, Ripoll and Sant Quirze del Vallès (−0.4%).
