Tourism of Residents in Catalonia. Q3/2024

The number of trips made by Catalans dereased 2.9% year–over–year in the third quarter 2024. People residing in Catalonia made 9.9million trips, involving 64.7 million overnight stays, an average stay of 6.5nights, and an expenditure of 4,146 million euros.

The expenditure of Catalans on trips in the third quarter came to 419 euros per person, which represents an decrease of 1.0% in comparison with the third quarter of 2023, and an expenditure of 64 euros per day, with represents an decrease of 3.4%.

The number of day trips made by people residing in Catalonia stood at 8.7 million in the third quarter of 2024, 26.4% less than in the same quarter of the previous year.
