Experimental statistics
This section contains statistics under development that incorporate innovative elements in data sources, methods of analysis or fields of study, and which are not yet considered sufficiently mature in terms of quality, stability or coverage to be recognised as official statistics.
Experimental statistics make it possible to test new ways of measuring emerging phenomena or of enriching the available information, and are disseminated with the aim of informing, exploring new approaches and gathering user feedback. Their publication is part of the European Statistical System strategy to foster innovation and to respond to new information needs.
