Methodological note

The Statistics on Rental Housing in Catalonia are based on the Register of rental deposits for urban property rental contracts, which are held by the Institut Català del Sòl (Incasòl). These Statistics are of a census nature, as they are based on the exhaustive count of the rental contracts for which the deposit are being held by Incasòl during the reference period.

These are quarterly Statistics that provide information on the number of formalised rental contracts and the average monthly rent for housing.

The number of contracts and the average monthly rental price are obtained by processing the data of this Register.
