Methodological note
The population growth is calculated as the balance between the population and the inflows and outflows, both natural (births and deaths) and migratory (immigration and emigration).
The total crude growth rate is the quotient between the variation in the population groups, expressed as the difference between the number of initial and final inhabitants of a period, and the population halfway through the period. It is expressed in so many per thousand.
The crude natural population growth rate is the quotient between the natural balance, expressed as the difference between the number of births and the number of deaths, in a determinate year and the population halfway through the period. It is expressed in so many per thousand.
The crude net migration rate is the quotient between the migratory balance, expressed as the difference between the number of immigrations and the number of emigrations in a given year, and the population halfway through the period. It is expressed in so many per thousand.
