Methodological note

The Statistics on Commuting for Non-University Students provides information on students who commute between their place of residence and place of study.

Idescat draws up these Statistics upon the basis of the registration records kept by the Ministry of Education and includes information on the population above three years of age enrolled on second-cycle early childhood education, primary and compulsory secondary education, baccalaureate and vocational training courses.

The reference population comprises students enrolled at non-university educational centres located in Catalonia. There is therefore no information on students residing in Catalonia who study outside Catalonia.
