Methodological note
Index of inland passenger transport volume relative to GDP.
This indicator is defined as the ratio between passengers-kms (inland modes) and GDP (chain-linked volumes, at 2010 exchange rates). It is indexed on 2010. It includes transport by passenger cars, buses and coaches, and trains. All data is based on movements on national territory, regardless of the nationality of the vehicle.
