Statistics on unemployment benefits. 2022

The average number of unemployment benefits in Catalonia in 2022 was 214,740, 11.6% less than the previous year, and the annual economic volume stood at 3,145 million euros, with a decrease of 27.3%.

Of these benefits, 126,421 were contribution-based, and the annual economic volume stood at 2,421 million euros. The average contributory benefit in December 2022 was 1,510 euros, 8.7% lower than in the same period of the previous year.

With regard to welfare (or non-contributory) unemployment benefits, the figure was 88,319, which translated into an annual amount of 723.5 million euros and an average allowance of 677 euros in December.
