Creation of the new El Lluçanès county

On 11 May, the Official Journal of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) published Law 7/2023, of 10 May, on the creation of El Lluçanès county.

Idescat, which is the competent body for the official Catalan geo-nomenclature for statistical purposes, includes this change in the database of Territorial and entity codes on 12 May 2023 (the date on which the Law comes into force). Future publications of official statistical results of the Statistical System of Catalonia will include the new El Lluçanès county, always considering the reference date of the data.
